During his working trip to the Osh region, the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision A. Toktobaev met with the Vice Mayor of Osh E. Toltoev, who presented a report on the progress of the local landfill reclamation and plans for the construction of a waste incineration plant.
The Ministry of Natural Resources reported that the review of these projects took place directly on-site.

The minister continued his familiarization with the key ecological and infrastructure facilities in the region. During the trip, a meeting was also held with the presidential representative in the Osh region A. Kenzhebaev and the akims of local districts.

The presentation was opened by Deputy Minister A. Musaev, who outlined the priority tasks and directions of the ministry's work, emphasizing the need to improve interaction with local authorities.

During the discussion, representatives of district administrations raised a number of pressing issues, including:

* the need to simplify procedures for the felling of old and hazardous trees;

* reducing bureaucratic barriers and increasing the speed of problem resolution at the local level;

* the lack of sewage systems in the densely populated Nookat district and the need to attract donors for project implementation;

* issues related to the specially protected natural area "Kara-Shoro," including road and power line construction;

* problems associated with leasing in the specially protected natural territory "Kyrgyz-Ata" — issues concerning the activities of lessees. It was decided to create a special commission to work on-site.

Infrastructure development is also planned, including the construction of an exhibition area, parking zone, and checkpoint.

On each of the raised issues, A. Musaev noted that amendments aimed at improving the regulation of these areas are currently being introduced into government resolution No. 677.

The akim of the Uzgen district K. Abasov emphasized the need to revise requirements for treatment facilities, including reducing percentage indicators, and raised issues regarding land transformation.

The akim of the Aksy district M. Shamyurkanov highlighted the problem of land degradation due to the development of deposits and the need to attract investments for the restoration of disturbed territories.

Discussing issues in the mining sector, meeting participants noted:

* the need to improve the licensing process for the development of deposits in the Chon-Alai district;

* the importance of strengthening control over the licensing process with mandatory consideration of local residents' opinions;

* the insufficient level of compensation payments for land reclamation, which does not cover actual restoration costs.

Summarizing the meeting, Toktobaev emphasized the importance of open and constructive dialogue with local authorities, confirming the ministry's readiness for joint and effective work to address the region's ecological problems.

Currently, the ministry is conducting a comprehensive inventory of all issued licenses for the development of deposits. This process is under the personal control of the leadership and aims to ensure transparency, legality, and rational use of the country's natural resources.
