In Chui Region, more than 20 species of birds have been recorded

In the Chui region, bird monitoring was conducted in the flooded areas of the Jayil, Moscow, and Sokuluk districts. This was reported by the NABU organization on March 9.

From March 3 to 6, staff from the monitoring department of this organization carried out observations.

As a result of their work, specialists recorded more than 20 bird species, including the whooper swan, black goose, mallard, shelduck, white-tailed eagle, greater white-fronted goose, gull, white and gray herons, laughing gull, red-headed duck, shoveler, little bittern, and whiskered tern.

NABU representatives emphasized that such studies play a key role in assessing the biological diversity of the region and the status of populations of waterfowl and wetland birds.
