11 Automatic Air Quality Monitoring Stations to be Installed in the Kyrgyz Republic
As part of the air quality improvement project supported by the World Bank, 50 million dollars have been allocated. The Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, Asel Rayymkulova, announced this at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee.
As Rayymkulova noted, new equipment has been purchased for the state institution "Kyrgyzgidromet," and the tender for the development of project documentation for the construction of a laboratory and air quality monitoring center has been completed.
In addition, an agreement has been signed for the procurement of mobile laboratories that will be used for air quality monitoring. Currently, technical documents are being developed for the installation of 11 automatic stations in Bishkek, Osh, Kara-Balta, Cholpon-Ata, and Tokmok.
