The ceremony gathered high-ranking officials, including the Minister of Natural Resources Meder Mashiev, the First Deputy Minister Bolot Jusupbekov, and the First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Issyk-Kul region Daniyar Arpachiev. Also present were the Akim of the Issyk-Kul district Japarbek Ormonov and the Mayor of the city of Cholpon-Ata Rustam Kadyrkulov.
Speaking at the ceremony, the minister emphasized that the start of construction of the new office is of great significance for the region. He noted that environmental protection and the preservation of natural resources are priorities of state policy. It is expected that the new building will enhance the level of environmental safety and state control, as well as help preserve the unique natural resources of Issyk-Kul.
The ministry also reported that in 2025, as part of the implementation of presidential decrees, 98 raid activities were conducted, during which 30.6 km of illegally installed synthetic fishing nets were destroyed. As a result of these activities, claims were filed for damages amounting to over 3 million soms.
The construction is being carried out by the state institution "Department of State Buildings" under the Presidential Administration. The completion of the work is scheduled for August 31. A budget of 79 million soms has been allocated for the implementation of this project from the ministry's budget.
The project is being implemented in accordance with decrees aimed at protecting the ecology of Issyk-Kul and strengthening environmental control.
