In 2025, the revenue from the sale of fishing tickets and cards amounted to 13 million 573 thousand 419 soms, which is significantly higher than the figures for 2024, when the income was 3 million 146 thousand 149 soms. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The growth in these figures was made possible by the implementation of an online sales system for fishing tickets.

In 2025, active raids against poaching were conducted on Lake Issyk-Kul and the rivers of the country, aimed at preventing illegal fishing. A fisherman without a fishing ticket is considered a poacher, and a fine of 1,000 soms is imposed for violations of the rules.

Information about the cost of fishing in water bodies and on Lake Issyk-Kul, as well as about the types and prices of fishing tickets and cards, can be found here.

For 2025, the Department of Fisheries approved limits for sport and amateur fishing in water bodies of fishery significance. These limits were agreed upon with the laboratory of ichthyology and hydrobiology of the Biological Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, and agreements were also concluded with public organizations and LLCs.

Athletes and fishing enthusiasts can now purchase fishing tickets and pay for them online. "The implementation of this system has significantly simplified the process of obtaining tickets and made services accessible to citizens in all regions, which also helps reduce the use of paper documents," the message states.

The Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that in the future, it plans to continue developing electronic services and strengthen control over compliance with fishing catch limits.
