Does the plant at the sanitary polygon in Bishkek harm the environment? Checked by the Ministry of Natural Resources.

On January 19, 2026, specialists from the Department of Environmental Monitoring conducted sampling of industrial emissions at the site of a waste processing plant located at the urban sanitary landfill in Bishkek. This was reported by representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of the plant on the environmental situation.
During the monitoring, laboratory analyses are conducted covering parameters such as nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, and suspended particles (dust).
Additionally, on January 16, 2026, comprehensive monitoring was carried out in the area adjacent to the enterprise, where additional samples of atmospheric air, soil, and water from the Ala-Archa reservoir were taken.
To prevent potential negative impacts on the environment, regular environmental monitoring is planned to be conducted monthly.
