Three outstanding works by Impressionists were stolen from the private museum of the Manianni-Rocca Foundation, located near Parma. Among the stolen pieces were: "Fish" — a late work by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, "Still Life with Cherries," created by Paul Cézanne using pencil and watercolor, as well as the watercolor "Odalisque on the Terrace" by Henri Matisse. This was reported by DW.
According to the police, the robbery occurred on the night of March 22-23, approximately a week ago. An investigation is currently underway.
It is reported that the robbers, hiding their faces under hoods, broke the entrance door and left the scene three minutes after the theft began, carrying away the priceless works of art through the garden. The total value of the stolen paintings is estimated in the millions of euros.
