According to reports from Turmush, both drivers died as a result of the collision. However, details about possible other victims are still being clarified.
Preliminary data indicates that after the incident, the injured were urgently transported to medical facilities in the village of Ananyevo and the Issyk-Kul regional hospital. Three people from one family were admitted to the regional hospital:
- Father, born in 1960;
- Daughter, born in 1990;
- Two-year-old granddaughter.
The next day, March 28, the little girl was transferred to the Children's Clinical Emergency Hospital in Bishkek (Jal microdistrict) under the supervision of doctors. She was diagnosed with a fracture of the left femur.
The father and daughter who were admitted to the hospital have already undergone surgery and are currently in intensive care under close medical supervision. Law enforcement agencies report that the final data on the number of victims and injured is still being clarified, and investigative activities are ongoing.
The tragic incident occurred on March 27, 2026, around 3:00 PM. Preliminary information indicates that the driver of the "Mercedes-Benz E420," identified as M.D.B., born in 1987, was traveling east on the highway. At that time, another participant in the accident, M.U.E., born in 1979, was driving a "Volkswagen Passat" and was making a left turn.
To avoid a collision with the "Volkswagen," the driver of the "Mercedes" decided to change direction, crossed into the oncoming lane through the dividing barrier, and collided head-on with a "Renault Samsung SM6," driven by J.K.A., born in 1988.
Unfortunately, both drivers — from the "Mercedes-Benz E420" and "Renault Samsung SM6" — sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene of the accident.
