According to Turmush, the accident occurred on March 27, 2026, around 3:00 PM. The driver of a "Mercedes-Benz E420," born in 1987 and identified as M.D.B., was heading east. At that time, another road user, born in 1979, was driving a "Volkswagen Passat" and was making a left turn off the road.
To avoid a collision with the "Volkswagen," the driver of the "Mercedes" attempted a maneuver, resulting in him crossing into the oncoming lane through a gap in the median barrier. There, a head-on collision occurred with a "Renault Samsung SM6," driven by J.K.A., born in 1988.
Both drivers, behind the wheel of the "Mercedes-Benz E420" and "Renault Samsung SM6," died at the scene from their injuries. Currently, efforts are underway to identify the deceased and assess the number of injured as a result of the incident.
This case has been registered with the internal affairs authorities of the Issyk-Kul region. Investigative services are conducting all necessary examinations and activities to clarify all circumstances and causes of the tragedy.
