A suspect in the armed robbery of a pensioner's home has been detained in the Chuy region, the regional police department reported.
According to reports, the incident occurred on February 20, 2026. A 67-year-old woman, S.N., contacted the police in the Jayil district to report the attack.
She stated that around one o'clock in the morning, an unknown individual entered her home through a broken window, threatening her. He demanded money and inflicted bodily harm on her. After that, the perpetrator stole money from her bag and fled the scene.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 207 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Police quickly identified the suspect, who turned out to be 29-year-old N.A. He was detained in accordance with the procedure established by Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and placed in custody.
Necessary examinations have been appointed as part of the criminal case, and the investigation is ongoing.
