The incident occurred on February 20, when a 72-year-old resident of Kara-Balta reported to the police department of the Jayil district. She stated that around midnight, an unknown person entered her home through a broken window. The criminal beat the woman and, threatening her, took money from her bag.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 207 ("Robbery") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Law enforcement officers were able to detain the suspect, who turned out to be N.A., born in 1994. He is currently placed in a temporary detention facility.
Investigative activities are ongoing.
