Owner of a medical center in Bishkek illegally stored and sold psychotropic substances

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, engaged in the fight against illegal drug trafficking, discovered cases of illegal storage, use, and sale of psychotropic substances at the medical center "Dem-Nur," located in Bishkek.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the owner of this medical center, 68-year-old O.Sh., was treating patients with drug and alcohol dependencies without the necessary license. Furthermore, he was storing, using, and selling psychotropic substances without permission.

During a search of the clinic, 18 ampoules of psychotropic substances were seized, as well as more than 600 ampoules and 16 packages of various medications. During a search at the suspect's residence, psychotropic substances were also found, as stated in the Ministry of Internal Affairs' report.

In this regard, the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic initiated a criminal case under Article 282 of the Criminal Code, concerning the illegal production of drugs and psychotropic substances for the purpose of sale.

The suspect O.Sh. was detained and placed in custody in a temporary detention facility.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to identify other possible participants in this crime.
