On February 5, law enforcement received information that a certain citizen named Zh. was engaged in the sale of dangerous drugs.
In this regard, a criminal case was initiated under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertains to the illegal manufacture and sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
As a result of further actions taken by the police, a citizen named Zh.O., born in 1995, was detained near a residential building on Fuchik Street. It was established that he was involved in the sale of a narcotic substance — hashish.
During the detention, a dark substance with a characteristic smell was seized from him, which was subsequently confirmed to be a narcotic drug — hashish.
The detainee has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the capital's police in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Investigative actions are currently ongoing.
The Bishkek City Police remind that illegal drug trafficking is a serious crime and is subject to criminal liability. Citizens are urged to report any instances of drug distribution to law enforcement authorities.
