In Chuy Region, law enforcement officers detained three men suspected of preparing for a robbery.
According to information from the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the region, the incident occurred on February 18, 2026, around 11:00 PM on the bypass road in the Kemin district. The suspects were identified as D.A. (born in 2001), J.A. (1998), and D.K. (1997). Preliminary data indicates that they acted in collusion and intended to commit a robbery using a Makarov pistol while traveling in a "Lexus" vehicle.
The investigation revealed that the men had planned a meeting with an acquaintance under the pretext of selling gold jewelry. During the meeting, they attempted to seize cash by threatening with an object resembling a firearm. However, they were unable to carry out their plan as they were detained by police officers.
Currently, a pre-investigation check has been initiated, and based on its results, a criminal case has been opened under Articles 36 and 207 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (preparation for robbery).
The suspects are in custody at a temporary detention facility. Necessary examinations have been appointed, and the investigation is ongoing. Following its conclusion, a legal assessment of the actions of the detainees will be provided.
