“Numerous violations have also been identified in this park. Equipment intended for parks was purchased at inflated prices. We are also checking whether the work is being carried out according to the project,” the minister noted in response to journalists' questions.
The Tukubai Taygaraev Park in the village of Oktyabr covers an area of about 2 hectares. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, it fell into disrepair, and the play areas became dilapidated and received inadequate maintenance.
According to the plans, the completion of the restoration work is scheduled for March-April 2026. In addition to the park, the project includes the creation of additional squares along the roads. For this purpose, about 90 million soms have been allocated from the republican budget.
In October 2025, the head of the Aiyl Okmotu, Bagysh Nursultan Tügoybekov, informed Turmush that the recreation area in the village of Oktyabr in the Bagysh Aiyl Aimak was established during the Soviet era and named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Tukubai Taygaraev.
According to him, over time it became dilapidated and spoiled the appearance of the village. Now, 85 million soms have been allocated for its renovation, and work is already underway.
“The total area of the main recreation park in the Aiyl Aimak is 1 hectare and 80 ares. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, this facility was left unattended, and the structures inside became dilapidated. Reconstruction work on the park has now begun. Currently, trees that have dried up or posed a falling hazard are being cleared, old concrete fences are being dismantled, and the construction of a cinema building has started.
Additionally, it has been established that four shops built near the park partially encroached on its territory and the sidewalk. Therefore, they were completely demolished. We plan to complete the construction work by March-April 2026,” N. Tügoybekov said.
He also added that along the main road parallel to the park, a square with a length of 1 kilometer will be built. An additional 20 million soms have been allocated for this.
