According to the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), this group developed a scheme for counterfeiting and selling medical certificates of form No. 086. These documents are necessary for foreigners to extend their stay in Kyrgyzstan and were issued without a real medical examination.
A.M. was engaged in selling the fakes, primarily to citizens of Pakistan and Bengal, while I.T.V. assisted him in this illegal activity.
During searches at the residences and workplaces of the detainees, more than 160 fake medical certificates were found, which were used for visa applications.
The GKNB noted that in the context of the Nipah virus outbreak in South Asia, such machinations pose a serious threat to sanitary and epidemiological safety, as well as a risk to the national security of the country.
The agency also urged foreign citizens to strictly adhere to the laws of Kyrgyzstan. Currently, operational measures are ongoing to identify other participants in this scheme.
