During the fight against corruption in state enterprises, embezzlement and misappropriation of budget funds by the former manager 'P.B.M.' and chief accountant 'M.N.A.' of the Leilek branch of OJSC 'Kyrgyz Post' were uncovered. This was reported by the press service of law enforcement agencies.
The investigation established that from January to September 2025, 'P.B.M.' and 'M.N.A.', using their official powers, misappropriated 5,213,900 soms.
During the same period, the central office of 'Kyrgyz Post' transferred funds to the branch's account for the purchase of computer equipment, furniture, plastic windows, and other necessary items for repairs.
However, no purchases were made, as all the transferred money was embezzled by 'P.B.M.' and 'M.N.A.'
Additionally, in the course of their activities, they paid their employees inflated salaries and then asked them to return the excess in cash, explaining this as technical errors.
A criminal case has been initiated against 'P.B.M.' and 'M.N.A.' under the article 'Misappropriation or embezzlement of entrusted property' of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
They have been detained and are in custody at the GKNB pre-trial detention center.
