In the course of the fight against corruption in state enterprises, the GKNB uncovered facts of embezzlement and misappropriation of budget funds by the manager "P.B.M." and the chief accountant "M.N.A.".
According to the GKNB, from January to September 2025, they, using their official powers, misappropriated 5 million 213 thousand 900 soms.
Investigative authorities found that during the nine months, the central office of OJSC "Kyrgyz Post" transferred funds to the account of the Leilek branch for the purchase of computer equipment, furniture sets, plastic windows, and for repair work. However, it became known that these goods were not purchased, and the repair work was not carried out.
Furthermore, the investigation established that the suspects paid their employees inflated salaries to bank cards and then asked them to return the excess amounts in cash, citing technical errors.
On March 11, 2026, "P.B.M." and "M.N.A." were charged under Article 210, Part 4, Clause 2 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning "Misappropriation or embezzlement of entrusted property." They were ordered to be detained and placed in the pre-trial detention center of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic.
