Urmataaiym shared that their marriage lasted 14 years, and they have four children. According to her, in recent years, her husband regularly resorted to physical violence.
“Every week he raised his hand against me. I had broken jaws, mouth injuries, and ear damage. He beat me so badly that I was hard to recognize. He whipped me with a belt and wires on my legs and other parts of my body. I endured this for the sake of the children, hoping he would change,” she shared.
According to Urmataaiym, during the winter, her husband kicked her and the children out of the house along with his sister. On January 13, the woman first contacted the police, but she claims that the investigator from the Kyzyl-Kiya city department of internal affairs refused to initiate a criminal case and forwarded the materials to the Public Security Service.
According to the Kyzyl-Kiya city court, on March 3, 2026, B.Yu. admitted that he beat Urmataaiym out of jealousy, which occurred on January 12 around 8:30 AM.
The victim requested a stricter punishment, including arrest, but the court found the man guilty under Article 70 of the Code of Offenses and sentenced him to 40 hours of community service.
The woman noted that her ex-husband works as an inspector in the Tax Service of Kyzyl-Kiya and believes that a person who commits violence should not hold a government position or perform as a singer.
Additionally, Urmataaiym expressed doubt about the fairness of the court's decision and demands an investigation into the actions of the judge who handled her case.
