The singer's ex-wife accused him of beating: the court assigned 40 hours of community service

The artist's ex-wife believes the punishment is too lenient

Urmataim, a 33-year-old resident of Kyzyl-Kiya in the Batken region, reached out to us to share her story of years of domestic violence she endured from her ex-husband, the well-known singer Bekbolot Yuldashev. The woman is asking for public attention to her situation.

According to Urmataim, their marriage lasted 14 years, and the couple has four children.

“In recent years, he raised his hand against me more than once. I was subjected to beatings almost every week. I suffered a broken jaw, had tears on my lips, and ear injuries. He hit me so hard that I became unrecognizable. He struck me on my legs and other parts of my body with a belt and cords. I endured all this for the sake of the children, hoping that he would change,” she shared.

In the depths of winter, her husband, along with his sister, threw Urmataim and the children out of their home. On January 13, she first went to the police, but investigator A. Toroniyaov from the Kyzyl-Kiya police department refused to initiate a criminal case, sending the materials to the public safety service.

On March 3, the Kyzyl-Kiya city court issued a ruling in the case. The document states that on January 12, 2026, at 08:30, Bekbolot Yuldashev beat his wife.

At the court hearing, the man admitted that he hit his wife out of jealousy. She requested a harsher punishment, but the court found him guilty under Article 70 of the Code of Offenses and assigned 40 hours of community service.

Urmataim expressed the opinion that Judge Moyutova, as she claims, is a fellow countrywoman of her mother-in-law, which is why the punishment seems too light to her.

According to the woman, her ex-husband works as an inspector in the city’s tax service. She believes that a person who has committed violence should not hold a government position and calls for his release from this duty and accountability.

“He also performs as a singer, but in my opinion, a person with such behavior has no right to be on stage,” she added.

Urmataim is also asking for a legal assessment of the actions of Judge Moyutova N.A., who, according to her, showed bias due to personal acquaintances and regional ties, which affected the ruling.
