In the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS), it was reported that the deputy head of the First May District Department of Internal Affairs and the head of the criminal investigation department were detained on suspicion of receiving a bribe.
According to available information, the two suspects, acting together, initiated criminal proceedings against citizen A.M.M. Using an intermediary — legal representative K.A.T., they demanded 30 thousand US dollars from the victim's son, M.U.M., to terminate the criminal case.
Later, part of this amount, totaling 20 thousand dollars, was handed over to K.A.T. In order to legitimize her actions, she left the money at one of the exchange offices in Bishkek for subsequent transfer to the officials of the First May District Department of Internal Affairs.
As a result of the investigative activities and interrogations conducted, the deputy head of the First May District Department of Internal Affairs A.N.A. and the head of the criminal investigation department A.I.A. were detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the SCNS of the KR.
Investigative actions are ongoing to identify other individuals involved in the case.
