"‘Vazelina’ Accused of Corruption: Case Against Former GKNB Employee Transferred to Court"
According to the court, the former employee is charged under part 1 of article 336 ("Corruption") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department until April 15.
Earlier, a video appeared on social media showing photographs of various individuals, including athletes, representatives of law enforcement agencies, and entrepreneurs, associated with the so-called "40 choro," organized by Eldar Jakypbekov, the former head of the State National Security Committee in Bishkek. In this context, "Vaseline" was also mentioned, who reportedly served in the police before working in the national security agencies.
The press service of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic later emphasized that there are no untouchables in government agencies, noting that employees suspected of exceeding their official powers have already been dismissed. Additionally, they denied information about unofficial nicknames, stating that such video materials are disseminated by interested parties and distort the true picture of the agency's activities.
