As a result of a joint operation conducted by the Drug Control Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State National Security Committee, and law enforcement agencies of neighboring countries, the activities of a transnational organized crime group involved in drug trafficking were halted. This information was announced by the press service of the State Drug Control Service.
According to official data, in January 2026, law enforcement officials seized 8 kilograms of methamphetamine. This amount corresponds to more than 50,000 doses with a market value exceeding 53 million soms, the service reported.

The illegal actions were classified under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the illegal production of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances with the intent to sell them.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing, and possible participants in the criminal scheme, as well as sources of financing, are being identified.
