The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic will expand the list of narcotic and psychotropic substances subject to control

The development of the document is aimed at ensuring compliance with both local and international legislation



In the Kyrgyz Ministry of Internal Affairs, it has been proposed to amend the list of narcotic and psychotropic substances, their analogs, and precursors that are subject to control. The draft law has been presented for public discussion.

This document is being developed to fulfill the provisions of the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as to ensure compliance with international obligations under documents such as the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961, the Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 1977, and the UN Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988.

It is proposed to expand several lists. Four new substances will be added to List I of narcotic drugs under special control: N-pyrrolidino protonitazene, N-pyrrolidino metonitazene, N-desethyl-isotonitazene, and etonitazepipn. List II of psychotropic substances will be supplemented with hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) and lisdexamfetamine, while List III will include carisoprodol.

Additionally, it is planned to add 14 new items to the list of analogs of narcotic and psychotropic substances, including 4-BMC (brefedrone), ADB-INACA, MDMB-INACA, MDPHP, and other synthetic compounds.
