Bishkek Resident Gave "Law Enforcement Officers" 850,000 Som
In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, the police have detained an alleged fraudster who posed as a law enforcement officer. This was reported by the Main Department of Internal Affairs (MDIA).
On December 12, 2025, a woman identified as M.O., born in 1949, approached the Sverdlovsk Internal Affairs Department. She reported that unknown individuals, taking advantage of her trust and posing as law enforcement officers, deceitfully took her money amounting to 850,000 soms, after which they disappeared.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident based on Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The investigation has identified and detained the suspect, A.Z., born in 2004, who is currently in the temporary detention facility of the MDIA.
The investigation is ongoing.
