In Bishkek, T.M., the former head of correctional facility No. 27, was detained on suspicion of receiving a bribe.
According to official information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service, a citizen identified as K.Sh., born in 1969, complained about the actions of the former head and approached the police with a request to take action.
The investigation established that in December 2025, T.M. received a bribe of 30,000 US dollars to resolve the issue of the early release of a convict serving a sentence under Article 209 "Fraud".
Based on the collected materials, a criminal case was initiated under Article 342 "Receiving a Bribe" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Operational-search activities led to the detention of 38-year-old T.M., who is currently in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.
Necessary investigative actions are currently ongoing.
