According to the information, a 57-year-old citizen approached the police with a complaint about the actions of the prison chief.
The investigation established that in December 2025, the man handed over $30,000 for assistance in the early conditional release of a prisoner convicted of fraud.
The fact of the bribe has been registered in accordance with Article 342 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Receiving a Bribe").
The suspicion fell on T.M., the former head of correctional institution No. 27, born in 1984. He is currently in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek.
The investigation is ongoing.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs suggests that the detainee may be involved in other crimes. In this regard, the police are appealing to citizens who may have been affected by the actions of the suspect or have any information to report it by calling: 0709 843 307 or 102.
