According to the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the First May District, law enforcement officers in the capital detained a man on February 23, suspected of hooliganism.

The incident occurred on February 18, 2026, when junior inspector of the Public Security Management of the Bishkek City Police, junior sergeant of police A.K., submitted a report to the head of the Internal Affairs Department regarding the actions of the driver of a "Lada Priora" vehicle, known as A.S.

On the same day, at 04:55, this vehicle was placed in a towing lot on Manas Street because its driver was operating it without a driver's license.

While the administrative protocol was being drawn up, A.S., while on the premises of the towing lot, shamelessly got behind the wheel of his car and ran over police officers. As a result, junior sergeant A.K. ended up on the hood of the car and was dragged for 20-30 meters. After that, A.S. fled the scene.

As a result of this incident, the police officer sustained bodily injuries.

Following the incident, the investigative authorities of the Internal Affairs Department of the First May District initiated a criminal case under Article 280 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During operational search activities, the suspect A.S., born in 1995, was identified and detained. He was taken to the Investigative Service, where, according to Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, he was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police.

Currently, the investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
