In Bishkek, a drunk driver dragged a traffic inspector on the hood.

On January 19, 2026, at approximately 6:00 PM, an incident occurred in Bishkek involving the driver of a Toyota Estima. Without a driver's license and under the influence of alcohol, he ignored the demands of traffic inspectors to stop and dragged one of them on the hood for over 50 meters, as reported by the press service of the Lenin District Police Department.
As a result of the incident, the violator was detained and taken to the police department. He was identified as T. I., born in 1986. A protocol was drawn up against him under Article 126 (petty hooliganism) of the Code of Offenses, after which he was placed in a temporary detention cell.
The police strongly urge all drivers to adhere to traffic rules and comply with the lawful demands of officers. Not only is resistance unacceptable, but actions that pose a threat to the life and health of inspectors will also result in appropriate consequences.
