Fake police officers detained for extorting money
As a result of operational activities conducted by the officers of the Internal Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the activities of a group of individuals who were illegally operating in Bishkek, posing as law enforcement officials, were uncovered. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was established that the suspects, under the guise of official checks aimed at identifying criminal activities in residential premises, unlawfully entered the apartments of citizens and extorted money from them.
In connection with these events, the Investigative Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case on the grounds of robbery, according to Article 206 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the investigation, three individuals were detained: K.J. (born in 1995), J.E.J. (born in 1994), and S.A.A. (born in 1995), all of whom previously worked in private security agencies.
According to preliminary information, these individuals committed similar crimes at 15 addresses in the capital. The extent of the damage caused by their actions is currently being determined.
