The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports the cessation of activities of a group of individuals who posed as police officers.
As a result of operational-search activities conducted by the employees of the Internal Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the illegal activities of a group of people acting under the guise of police officers in Bishkek were stopped.
During the investigation, it was revealed that these individuals, under the pretext of checks aimed at identifying criminal activity in residential premises, illegally entered citizens' apartments and extorted money from them.
In connection with the events that occurred, the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic initiated a criminal case under Article 206 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the investigation, three individuals were detained: K.J. (born in 1995), J.E.J. (born in 1994), and S.A.A. (born in 1995). All detainees had previously worked in private security structures.
According to preliminary data, these individuals committed similar crimes at 15 addresses in the capital.
Currently, the extent of the damage caused by their illegal actions is being determined.
Investigative and operational activities continue to identify other possible cases of unlawful activity.
