A man suspected of fraud related to the sale of an apartment in the residential complex "Nova City" has been detained in Bishkek. This was reported by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate (GUVD).
According to preliminary data, a citizen identified as U.T., born in 1980, gained the trust of the applicant from October 2020 to February 2024, posing as a buyer of an apartment in the "Nova City" residential complex on Maxim Gorky Street, and received 284,267 dollars. The money has not been returned to date.
A criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under part 4 of article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. He has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Investigative authorities are checking the possible involvement of the detainee in other similar crimes.
