According to the investigation, from October 2020 to February 2024, a citizen identified as U.T., born in 1980, convinced the complainant of the necessity to purchase an apartment in the "Nova City" residential complex located on M. Gorky Street, and received from him the amount of 284,267 US dollars. This money has not yet been returned.

A criminal case has been initiated on this fact under part 4 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning fraud.
On February 12, 2026, GUVD officers detained the suspect, who was taken to the investigative department and placed in a temporary detention facility in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the KR.
The investigative authorities continue to check for possible involvement of the detainee in other similar crimes.
