According to information, on October 29, 2025, during an operational raid in the Jayil district, police officers together with members of the hunting and fishing society detained a group of poachers. The detainees were found to have firearms for which there were no permits.
In this regard, on February 2, 2026, a criminal case was initiated under Article 267 "Illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On February 16, a decision was made to place the detainees, M. M. and K. R., both born in 1988, in a temporary detention facility. The investigation is ongoing.
