
On October 29, 2025, during operational activities conducted by the officers of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil district in conjunction with members of the public organization "Kalinin Interdistrict Society of Hunters and Fishermen," the suspects engaged in illegal hunting were identified. They were found to possess firearms for which they did not have the necessary permits.
The seized weapons were sent for forensic ballistic examination. Experts determined that these were single-shot hunting rifles of the TOZ-16 and TOZ-8 models.
As a result of the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 267 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition.
On February 16, 2026, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, two citizens, M.M. and K.R., both born in 1988, were detained. They have been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
