In accordance with the instructions of President Sadyr Japarov, the Military Prosecutor's Office, together with the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has initiated a series of investigative and operational actions concerning a number of former employees of the State National Security Committee (GKNB), who are suspected of exceeding their official powers during their tenure.

As reported by the GKNB press service on February 17, all actions are being carried out within the framework of the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, adhering to all procedural norms. At the same time, the leadership of the GKNB was timely informed about the ongoing events.

As a result of the inspection, personnel measures were taken: individuals who committed violations were removed from their positions and excluded from the national security bodies.

“Competent authorities will conduct a final legal assessment of the actions of the mentioned individuals in the established manner,” the GKNB stated.

The press service emphasized that state bodies continue their consistent work to strengthen legality and discipline, as well as to prevent corruption and unlawful actions among their employees. “Every employee, regardless of their position, bears personal responsibility before the law. We will continue our efforts to ensure transparency and increase public trust in state bodies,” the GKNB noted.

Furthermore, the statement indicated that some of the circulated rumors “represent an attempt to create the appearance of inter-agency confrontation between law enforcement structures.” “These statements are not true and are aimed at undermining trust in state institutions,” the agency added.

All law enforcement and security structures of the country act within the framework of the law and interact with each other, pursuing common goals in ensuring national security and law and order.

Attempts to artificially create conflict between agencies are destructive in nature and can undermine the stability of the socio-political situation. “Such behavior may hinder the implementation of the president's course on the demilitarization of public space and increasing the openness of government institutions,” the GKNB believes.

Special services have urged citizens to rely only on official sources of information.

The GKNB noted that they, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Military Prosecutor's Office, the judicial system, the tax service, the border service, and other state institutions have no untouchables. Everyone must be held accountable for their actions.

“The state persistently continues its course to cleanse its ranks of unscrupulous employees, strengthen discipline, and uphold the rule of law. This work will continue,” the GKNB concluded.
