In the Talas region, as a result of operations "Bandit" and "Arsenal," law enforcement officers have dismantled a criminal group involved in livestock theft. This was reported by the press service of the local police department.

It became known that on February 1, 2026, the police received a report from a 53-year-old man from the Talas district. He stated that two lambs had been stolen from his barn at the end of January. Based on this report, a criminal case was opened under Article 205-1 Part 3 Item 4 ("Theft of Livestock") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During operational activities, the criminal police were able to track down the suspects. As a result, a 38-year-old man, J.R., residing in the Aitmatov district, was detained. He is currently being held in a temporary detention facility.

Also wanted is his alleged accomplice — a 42-year-old man, T.N., who is also a resident of the Aitmatov district. The police continue to work on establishing his whereabouts.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the detained J.R. is connected to numerous similar crimes. To date, 12 cases of livestock theft have been established. As a result of searches at the suspect's relatives' homes, 14 heads of livestock were found, including 3 cows and 11 lambs.

All discovered livestock has been returned to its rightful owners.
