
Foreign drivers became victims of illegal extortion
In Kyrgyzstan, law enforcement agencies have detained suspects in the extortion of money from truck drivers delivering goods to the "Dordoy" market. This information was provided by the press center of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
The detainees, known as members of the so-called "sportobshchak," are D.Zh. and R.u.A. According to the investigation, they extorted money from foreign drivers for 15 years, using threats and physical violence.
D.Zh. previously had no legal issues and had connections within law enforcement agencies. Investigative authorities have information about his ties to criminal groups, including the organized crime groups of Kamchybek Asanbek and Rysbek Akmatbaev.
A criminal case has been initiated against the detainees under Article 261 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. They have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
