
Supporters and active members of the organization became the target of searches
Employees of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) and the Internal Affairs Department (UVD) of the Osh region conducted a series of operational-investigative activities in the Osh region. The main goal of these actions is to monitor the religious situation and prevent the activities of the radical organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami," as reported by the GKNB press service.
During the criminal investigation, which began on February 10, 2026, searches were carried out at the addresses of 11 activists and supporters of this organization.
As a result of the searches, 217 various items were seized, including: 75 books, 14 mobile phones, 18 notebooks, 86 DVDs, 4 tablets, 1 laptop, 2 SIM cards, 14 passports of citizens of the Russian Federation, 1 seal, 1 video cassette, and 1 bank card from "Bakay Bank."
The seized materials will be sent for judicial religious studies expertise. Depending on the results, appropriate actions will be taken regarding the members of "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami," the agency noted.
