In a car accident, the deputy of the Talas region, Rysbek Kokumov, died.
According to the Talas regional muftiate, Rysbek Kokumov, appointed as the deputy mufti of Muslims in the Talas region on November 1, 2024, passed away in the intensive care unit after a traffic accident that occurred today, February 12.
Turmush reported that on February 12, around 10:00 AM, a traffic accident took place on the Taraz—Talas—Suusamyr highway (the Ak-Kalpak section, between the city of Talas and the village of Ken-Aral in the Bakai-Ata district).
According to preliminary data, the driver of a "Chevrolet Cobalt," traveling westward, lost control on a slippery road while attempting to overtake and collided with a "Mercedes-Benz Sprinter" minibus.
As a result of the accident, two people (one from each vehicle) sustained serious injuries and were urgently hospitalized in the intensive care unit. Preliminary information indicates that the "Chevrolet Cobalt" is a service vehicle.
The traffic police of the Talas region confirmed the information about the accident. The service vehicle belongs to the regional muftiate.
Rysbek Kokumov was born on January 31, 1980, in the Bakai-Ata district of the Talas region.

- since November 1, 2024 - Deputy Mufti of the Talas region.
He is survived by his wife and three daughters.
