In the Alamudun district, police officers detained a man suspected of embezzling and misappropriating cattle. This was reported by the press service of the regional police department.
According to preliminary data, he sold 50 calves and lost the money received from their sale in online games. The total amount of damage amounted to 3.7 million soms.
On February 6, a representative of the "K.J." farm contacted the police, reporting the actions of J.E., born in 1998, who worked as a cattle herder.
According to law enforcement information, in October 2025, the suspect took on the responsibilities of caring for and grazing the cattle until April 2026. However, in January, he independently sold the animals and lost the proceeds.
Based on the collected materials, a criminal case was initiated under Article 210 (embezzlement and misappropriation of entrusted property) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and placed in a temporary detention facility.
An investigation is currently underway.
