Man Suspected of Lewd Acts Towards 7-Year-Old Niece

In the Talas region, a man, the uncle of a seven-year-old girl, is under suspicion of sexual assault. This was reported to the editorial office of Kаktus.media by the Talas region's Internal Affairs Directorate. On January 15, a local resident R. O., born in 1958, approached the Talas district police department. She stated that on the night of January 12 to 13, her uncle took his granddaughter, born in 2019, to his place. In the morning, the girl woke up without her underwear, which raised concerns for her grandmother.

The incident was recorded, and an investigation was initiated. Necessary examinations have been appointed for the minor, Sh. R., born in 2019. A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under the article "Lewd acts" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The suspect, M. A., born in 1979 and a resident of the Talas district, was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. He was sent to a pre-trial detention center for a period of one month by the court. The investigation is ongoing.
