According to the GSIN press service, the incident occurred on February 7 at around 12:30 PM. The body of 39-year-old Abdyrov was found on the internal grating door of his cell in SIZO-1. Preliminary information suggests that he used his pants to commit suicide.
A forensic investigative group from the GSIN and representatives of the Special Prosecutor's Office arrived at the scene, where they began a preliminary investigation. Necessary examinations have been appointed as part of this investigation.
Kumarbек Abdyrov, born in 1984, was transferred to SIZO-1 on December 17, 2022.

Abdyrov was detained in the fall of 2025 after the death of 17-year-old Aysulu Mukasheva. During the investigation, he confessed to this and other serious crimes committed over the years. The court decided to keep him in custody, with the term extended until March 29, 2026.
