The body of a suspect in serial murders found in a pre-trial detention center

Kumarbek Abdyrov gained notoriety after the tragic death of 17-year-old Aysulu.

The body of Kumarbek Abdyrov, a suspect in a series of attacks including the murder of 17-year-old Aysulu M., was found dead in a pre-trial detention center. According to Vesti.kg, sources in law enforcement indicate a possible suicide.
Currently, the State Service for the Execution of Sentences (GSIN) is not providing comments on this case.
Recall that on September 27 of last year, Aysulu M. disappeared in the Jeti-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul region, having left her home in the village of Barskoon to visit a friend in Jenish.
It was later revealed that surveillance cameras recorded her getting into a Honda Stream car.
The investigation suggests that the suspect took the girl to an apple orchard, where he raped her and then killed her. To cover up the crime, he attempted to dispose of the body by throwing it into the Boom Gorge.
Abdyrov was detained in the capital, Bishkek. He already had a criminal record for robbery and attempted murder.
After his arrest, he confessed to the murders of several women, as reported by the president's press secretary Daiyrbek Orunbekov on his social media page, attaching a report from the ElTR television channel.
According to the investigation, Abdyrov may have been involved in at least six attacks, four of which ended in murder. Law enforcement does not rule out that the number of victims may be higher.
The investigation is ongoing.
