Kumarbek Abdyrov, suspected of the brutal murder of 17-year-old Aysulu M., Kamila Duyshebaeva, and several other women, was found dead in the Pretrial Detention Center No. 1. The State Penitentiary Service (GPS) confirmed that the cause of death was suicide. Abdyrov was arrested last October after the disappearance of the minor Aysulu, who was traveling from the village of Barskoon to the village of Jenish and did not return home. 19-year-old Kamila Duyshebaeva disappeared on March 10, 2014, in Bishkek. Her body, showing signs of strangulation with her own scarf, was found in the village of Baytik six days later. Three days later, the body of 22-year-old M.S.N., also raped and strangled, was discovered in the Razzakov street area. In 2015, Abdyrov attempted to kill another girl by throwing her into a canal and dropping a large stone that hit her arm. She survived and managed to reach the hospital. He was subsequently sentenced to 12 years in prison, but the term was reduced to seven years.
