The Bishkek police explained why one of the owners of private driving schools was detained.
During the monitoring of internet resources on January 27, law enforcement agencies discovered "publications" by a user with the nickname meder.tagaibekovich, which they believe discredit the authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and exacerbate the situation in society.
According to the police, discussions under these publications contained comments that could provoke mass riots and destabilize the situation in the country. In particular, they concerned the closure of private driving schools. In this regard, the investigative authorities initiated a criminal case under Article 278 "Mass riots, calls for active disobedience to authorities and violence against citizens" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detained individual turned out to be M. T., born in 1994, who was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek. According to the police, he is the director of the LLC "Driver Training Center." The investigation into this case is ongoing.
