In Bishkek, the head of a driving school was detained for calls on social media.
In Bishkek, cases of the dissemination of materials contributing to the destabilization of the socio-political situation have been recorded. As reported by the Main Internal Affairs Department of the capital, on January 27, 2026, during monitoring of social networks, a page on Instagram under the name “meder.tagaibekovich” was discovered, which contained posts aimed at discrediting the authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and undermining stability in the country.
According to available information, users commenting on these posts left statements that could lead to the destabilization of public order and mass riots. In particular, the discussion was about the closure of private driving schools in the country.
In this case, the Investigative Service initiated criminal proceedings under Article 278 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning mass riots, calls for disobedience to lawful demands of the authorities, and violence.
As a result of operational activities, M.T., born in 1994, was detained and taken to the police station, where he was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to information, the detainee is the head of the LLC “Aidochulardy Dayardoo Bortoru” (“Driver Training Center”).
