Two Heads of Private Driving Schools Detained
The court rejected the investigator's request for the detention of K.J.J., who is accused of violating Article 41, Part 4, and Article 326, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Instead, a measure of house arrest was imposed on him until March 30, 2026.
On the same day, the request from the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding T.u.M., who is accused under Article 278, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic for calls to mass riots, was granted. A measure of detention was chosen for him until March 28, 2026.
Additionally, among those detained was the director of one of the driving schools, "Driver Training Center," Mederbek Tagaybek uulu.
In connection with the ongoing reforms, the licenses of private driving schools have been suspended until August 2026. Currently, driving instruction is only permitted in state driving schools.
The investigation into these criminal cases is ongoing.
