The incident that prompted the police report occurred on December 28, 2025. A resident of the capital reported that her underage daughter became a victim of theft at the Alamedin market when her mobile phone was stolen from her jacket pocket.
This case was registered under Article 205 ("Theft") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of the investigation, law enforcement officers detained 25-year-old A.K., who, it turned out, was selling the stolen devices at the Osh market together with 22-year-old A.Z. Both were placed in a temporary detention facility.
Additionally, searches at the "Besh-Sary" shopping center led to the discovery of more than 20 smartphones. It has been established that the detainees may also be involved in other similar crimes.
