According to law enforcement agencies, on January 25, 2026, at 11:35, the duty station of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil District received a signal from the 112 service about a fire involving a large cargo truck on the 141st kilometer of the Bishkek – Osh road.
An investigative operational group was dispatched to the scene to determine the circumstances.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the owner of the MAN truck is a 41-year-old citizen O.K., who was engaged in the private transportation of petroleum products.
On January 23, he accepted an order for the transportation of fuel and lubricants (AI-92 gasoline) from a local enterprise involved in oil refining. A 34-year-old citizen K.A. was hired as the driver.
On January 25, 2026, around 11:20, driver K.A. was heading to the city of Osh, transporting 28 tons of petroleum products. His employer, citizen O.K., was also in the vehicle.
While driving, the front left wheel of the truck burst, causing a loss of control. The vehicle veered into the oncoming lane and overturned, after which a fire broke out, completely destroying the vehicle. Both individuals died at the scene.
The bodies of the deceased were transported to the morgue of the Jayil District Hospital, where forensic examinations have been scheduled. The investigation is ongoing.
According to the Main Internal Affairs Directorate, the fire of the petroleum products did not cause environmental damage, as no leaks were recorded — all flammable materials burned at the scene.
